  23.   The DivX(R) codec 5.1.1 codec is the latest and greatest release of DivX.  With
  24.   DivX 5.1.1 we've been able to make it more than twice as fast than the really slow
  25.   one we released last time! ;) Go to the end of the README for more cheesie marketing
  26.   one liners. Joking aside DivX 5.1.1 does actually offer the best Quality and Performance
  27.   of any release in DivX History.  We finally got it right! 
  28.   The DivX codec (short for COmpression-DECompression) is the standard for high quality 
  29.   video over IP networks because it hits the sweet spot between superior visual quality 
  30.   and small file size. With a broadband connection, you can download a 
  31.   full-length feature film in the time it takes to have a pizza delivered!

  34. Installation instructions
  35. -------------------------

  37.   To install the DivX codec, you should follow the following simple steps:
  38.  
  39.   1. Copy the installer program (DivXProBundle.exe) to a location on 
  40.      your hard drive (e.g., C:\temp).  
  41.   2. Run the installer program by double-clicking on the
  42.      DivXProBundle.exe icon.  
  43.   3. Follow the instructions of the installer program to install the
  44.      DivX Pro software.  
  45.   4. Done! The software should be installed in your Systems directory.

  47.   **What files are installed?**: The DivX Pro software installer will install
  48.   the following files on your system:

  50. * divx.dll         (DivX Pro(tm) Codec) 
  51. * divxdec.ax        (DivX Decoder Filter) 
  52. * DivX EKG.exe        (The EKG enables to reallocate data to specific scenes within a video clip) - PRO ONLY 
  53. * README.txt        (This README file.)
  54. * License.txt        (License agreement for the CODEC.)
  55. * DivX Support        (Internet Shortcut to DivX.com help site)

  61.   **Uninstalling DivX Pro Software**: To remove the DivX Pro software from
  62.   your system, you should use the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel in
  63.   Windows. To this by selecting "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->
  64.   Add/Remove Programs" from the Windows Start menu. In the listbox that is
  65.   presented to you, choose "Remove DivX Pro" and click "remove."
